Robert Edward “Bobby” Hanicak, Jr.

Robert Edward “Bobby” Hanicak, Jr., 76, of Port Neches, died Monday, June 19, 2023. He was born August 3, 1946, in Port Arthur, to Lillie M. Haigans Hanicak and Robert Edward Hanicak, Sr.

Bobby enjoyed nature and feeding the birds, taking long drives in nature, and hunting and fishing. He loved taking trips to see his girls and family. He will forever remain a loving husband, father, and Grandad.

Survivors include his daughters, Brandi LaFleur and husband, Joel, of Garden Valley, Idaho; Holli Porterfield and husband, Lonnie Halbert, of Denver, Colorado; and Keri Leavell, of Port Neches; grandchildren, Kolten, Lili, Mason, and Molli; sister, Vicki Lynn Nicholson and husband, Rick, of Nacogdoches; long-time companion, Joan Krause, of Nederland; nephew, Ian Nicholson; as well as numerous other friends and family. Bobby will be especially missed by his many friends of Bill W.

He is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Tish Hanicak.

A gathering of Mr. Hanicak’s friends and family will begin at 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Saturday, June 24, 2023, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12^th Street, Nederland. His cremation arrangements will be handled through Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont.
