Sharla Lynne Woods, 59, of Silsbee, died Tuesday, November 28, 2023. She was born on January 29, 1964, in Orange, to Bonnie Faye Wilson Christian and Homer Odell Christian.
Survivors include her husband, Johnny Pelt, Jr.; children, Grady Woods and his wife, Naomi, of Burkeville; Jessie Pelt of Bridge City; Andrew Pelt and his wife, Jessica; Josh Pelt; and Ashley Viator and her husband, Joel, all of Silsbee; Sara Cumbay and her husband, Chris, of Arlington; Bonnie Goodman and her husband, Dallas; and Robbie Runnels, all of Silsbee; step-mother, Irene Christian of Kingsville; mother-in-law, Linda Pelt; father-in-law, Johnnie Pelt, Sr.; twenty-six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; siblings, Scott Christian of Orange; Shon Christian and his wife, Christy, of Marble Falls; Shelby Christian and his wife, Jennifer, of DeRidder, Louisiana; Craig Christian of Mobile, Alabama; Lori Lofton of Wilmer, Alabama; and Tammy Garza and her husband, Frank, of Corpus Christi.
She is preceded in death by her parents; granddaughter, Alice Woods; and brother, Homer Christian, Jr.
A gathering of Mrs. Woods’ family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 5, 2023, at Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee. Her funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 6, 2023, at Broussard’s, with her interment to follow at Hardin Memorial Park, Silsbee.
