Theodore “Ted” Roosevelt Will
Theodore “Ted” Roosevelt Will, 92, of Lumberton, died Friday, January 12, 2024. He was born on March 12, 1931, in Beaumont, to Lela Burford Will and Bruce Alexander Will.
Survivors include his children, Becky O’Quinn and her husband Buddy, of Sour Lake; and Mike Will and his wife, Liz; Dave Will and his wife, Susan; and Laura Pruitt and her husband, Wes, all of Lumberton; ten grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and brother, Otis Will of Kountze. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Etta Daigle Will; and siblings, Grover, Bruce, Jr., Homer, Bea, Rose, Jay, Lois, Matt, Pansey, and Doris.
A gathering of Mr. Will’s family and friends will be 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., with a Rosary recited at 6:30 p.m., Wednesday, January 17, 2024, at Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, January 18, 2024, at Infant Jesus Catholic Church, 243 South LHS Drive, Lumberton. His interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Beaumont.

I will miss Mr. Will very much. He was a kind voice and friendly face sitting across from me at weekday Mass at Infant Jesus church. Always a joy to visit with him. I’m so glad I got to know him a little. God bless the Will family and y’all are in my prayers.
Mr. Will’s friendly wave always brightened my day when I would see him in the evenings on my way home from work. A small act of kindness that brought smiles to many. Rest in peace neighbor.
I have so many wonderful memories growing up down the street from the Wills. Our little neighborhood was the best ever. Love and prayers to all the family. He was a wonderful man. We love you all.

Mr. Will lived behind our neighborhood in Lumberton and impacted our little community far more than he ever knew. His big smile and generous waves touched so many strangers. Those smiles and waves are dearly missed.

I worked with Ted at IDECO in the late 1970″s early 1980’s He was a dedicated employee and took pride in the work he did. He always remembered me years later when I would see him. My sincere condolences to his family.

We loved Mr. Will. Occasionally I would randomly bring him some food and I loved waving to him as I past his home. He will be missed. A life well lived.
