Tim “Poppy” Wisener

October 4, 1956 - May 26, 2024

Tim “Poppy” Wisener was born in Beaumont, Texas, on October 4, 1956, and passed to his heavenly home at St. Luke’s Hospital, Houston, Texas on Sunday, May 26, 2024.

Tim was a dedicated employee, avid outdoorsman, voracious reader, and loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle. He loved nothing more than spending time with his adored family. Tim loved the Lord with all his heart.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife of twenty-eight years, Pam Wisener; daughters, Mandy Proctor Griffin and her husband, Brent; Mellie Proctor Bevilacqua and her husband, Sammy; Amy Proctor Cherry and her husband, Nick; and Emily Proctor Beckman and her husband, John David; grandchildren, Brady, Carson, and Parker Griffin; Sam and Julia Bevilacqua; Grant Cherry; and Jack Beckman; brother, Mike Wisener and his wife, Allison; sister, Denna Sims and her husband, Phillip; brother-in-law, Ray Walton and his wife, Mary Ann; in-laws, Ray and Shirley Walton; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. He also leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly.

He was preceded in death by his parents, LaVerne Wisener Hill and Ted Ray Wisener.

Memorial contributions for Tim may be made to Foundation for Southeast Texas, 700 North Street, Beaumont, Texas 77701.

A gathering of Poppy’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Friday, May 31, 2024, at Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin Avenue, Beaumont. His funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 1, 2024, at Broussard’s, with his interment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Beaumont.
