William Arthur Baker, 79, of Silsbee, died Wednesday, November 8, 2023. He was born on December 21, 1943, in Matagorda, to Annie Victoria Leaser Baker and Woodrow Wilson Baker.
Survivors include his wife, Anna Ruth Idlett Baker; children, Belinda; Malinda; Bill Baker; Larry Gilstrap; Philiph Potter; Sandra Coburn and her husband, Jesse; Lavonne Mullins and her husband, Forrest; and Timey Cole; and numerous grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents.
A gathering of Mr. Baker’s family and friends will be from 10:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m., Wednesday, November 15, 2023, at Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee. His graveside service will follow at 1:00 p.m., at Hardin Memorial Park, Silsbee.

I have many memories of Uncle Bill growing up. From living with us in California to when him and my uncle Freddie drove with me from California to El Campo to stay with grandparents. Then another time back to Calif. Uncle Bill was a great cook, gardener, hard worker. I’m sorry I hadn’t got to visit with him more these last years. We did have a good visit at his Uncle’s 100th birthday a few years ago. RIP Uncle Bill till we meet again! 💜💜
