William Phillips

November 2, 1919 - August 15, 2017

William Thomas Phillip, 97, of Thicket, died Tuesday, August 15, 2017, at Village Creek Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Lumberton. He was born on November 2, 1919, in Philadelphia, Mississippi, to Annie Ingram and Frank M. Phillips. William served in the United States Air Force during World War II, he later retired as truck driver from Brown Express Motor Freight.

Survivors include his wife, Victoria Phillips; and son, Thomas Phillips and his wife, Donna, both of Thicket; daughter, Kathryn Phillips; and grandchildren, Fleta Scholl, Kenneth Phillips, Joe Phillips, Michelle Phillips, Buddy Tucker, Jody Tucker, Terry Tucker, and Amy Phillips, all of Amarillo; and numerous great-grandchildren.

William is preceded in death by his parents and grand son, William T. Phillips II.

A private family committal was held at Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont under the direction of Broussard’s, 530 West Monroe, Kountze.
