William Wallace Norman

February 10, 1955 - June 24, 2023

William Wallace Norman, Jr., 68, of Port Arthur, died Saturday, June 24, 2023. He was born February 10, 1955, in Memphis, Tennessee, to William Wallace Norman, Sr., and Mary Louise Bass.

He is survived by his wife, Cindy Norman of Port Arthur; son, William Garrett Norman of Port Arthur; daughter, Emily Louise Harper and her husband, Paul O’Neal, of Vidor; granddaughter, Rebecca Louise Harper; brother, Tim Norman and his wife, Cindy Jo, of Port Arthur; nephew, Joshua Norman and his wife, Kayla, of Nederland.

Mr. Norman is preceded in death by his parents.

In William’s teenage and college years he enjoyed outdoor activities, especially water skiing. He was known to be a “jack of all trades”. In his adult life, he enjoyed computer games and spending time with his family.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 6704, Hagerstown, MD 21741.

A gathering of Mr. Norman’s family and friends will begin at 3:00 p.m. with his memorial service to follow at 4:00 p.m., Saturday, July 8, 2023 at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. His cremation arrangements were handled through Broussard’s Crematorium, under the direction of Broussard’s, Nederland.

    Cindy, I’m so sorry to see this sad news about Bill. I will always hold fond memories of Bill, you and the kids. Bill was a sweet, patience and loving man. If we had more Bills’s in it, the world would be a better place. He was the best Santa ever! He was wonderful and loving with the animals and children. Rest easy Bill.
