Wyatt Ray Sawyer

October 23, 2002 - February 12, 2024

Wyatt Ray Sawyer, 21years old, went to be with the Lord, February 12, 2024. He is survived by his parents Gene and Sylvia Sawyer; sister, Kristen Sawyer; and grandparents, Robbie and Ken Shipper. He was born in Beaumont, Texas, October 23, 2002. Wyatt lived his entire life in Lumberton, Texas.

As a young boy, Wyatt was involved in Cub Scouts. He earned his Arrow of Light, the highest honor in Cub Scouts. After high school, he attended Lamar State College-Orange. He was employed with the Humane Society of Southeast Texas. There he found fulfillment working with the animals.

Wyatt was a beloved son, brother, and grandson. He could make you laugh, take up for you, aggravate and teach you countless information about a range of topics. He loved animals, some of his favorites were Hidey and Corgie. He loved to take naps and the dogs and cats loved to nap with him.

Wyatt was a long-term member of Calvary Baptist Church Beaumont. He accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior at 6 years old and followed in the waters of baptism at 7 years old. He was kind to the elderly and animals. He wrestled with life, but struggles no more because he is in the hands of His Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He was extremely loved by his family and will be greatly missed.

A gathering of Wyatt’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Sunday, February 18, 2024, at Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee. His funeral service will be at 3:00 p.m., Monday, February 19, 2024, at Broussard’s. His interment will follow at Beech Creek Cemetery, Spurger.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Southeast Texas, 2050 Spindletop Ave, Beaumont, Texas 77705.
