Amber Lynn Fazio

November 28, 1995 - March 28, 2017

Amber Lynn Fazio, 21, of Beaumont, died Tuesday, March 28, 2017. A native and lifelong resident of Beaumont, she was born on November 28, 1995, to Dora Lee Heiman Whitley and Henry Lynn Fazio.

Survivors include her mother, Dora Whitley and her husband, Gene, of Onalaska; her father, Lynn Fazio and his fiancé, Amelia Hebert; her brother, Dustin Fazio and fiancé Jadah Dennis; her grandmother, Louise Fazio and husband Louis, all of Beaumont; fiancé, Wesley Manning; Wesley’s parents, Kachawae Manning and David Whitehead of Port Neches; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, cousins, as well as extended family.

As a child, Amber graced her parents with laughter, extreme silliness, and her infectious smile. She loved hanging out with her brother but most of all, teasing him to the point of frustration. At the young age of 8, she started her softball career that ran until 18. She excelled as a catcher, bringing a “no fear” attitude to any softball diamond she sat foot on; her intensity was not easily matched. She ended her career at East Texas Baptist University at the age of 19, moved back to Beaumont and enrolled as a psychology major at Lamar University. Amber was diagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorder in 2015 and battled the disease with the same intensity she brought to the field. She was engaged to Wesley Manning, and was about to embark upon the next phase of her life until her disease overtook her this past Tuesday, March 28, 2017.

She will forever remain our sweet baby girl, our sister, our niece, our cousin, fiancé, grand daughter and close friend, whose beautiful smile and love for family will never be forgotten. She loved the outdoors, fishing, hammocking, and 4-wheeling with her fiancé, and generally soaking-up the beautiful life she was blessed to lead. And while she carries our love on her journey, she leaves us with a burning question: “Tell us what, does it look like in Heaven? …because here on earth, everything’s different.”

A gathering of Amber’s family and friends will be from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., with a Rosary recited at 6:00 p.m., Sunday, April 2, 2017, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m., Monday, April 3, 2017, at St. Anthony Cathedral Basilica, 700 Jefferson Street, Beaumont. A private family committal will follow at Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Brandon Marshall’s Project Borderline at projectborderline.org.
