Edward “Eddy” James Parker

October 31, 1948 - October 27, 2022

Edward “Eddy” James Parker, 73, of Wildwood, passed Thursday, October 27, 2022, surrounded by his family.  He was born on October 31, 1948, in Delmenhorst, Germany, to Ushi Armanski Parker and James Parker.

Eddy was a graduate of Logansport High School. He earned his bachelor’s degree at Stephen F. Austin in Forestry Management. Eddy was also a veteran, having served four years in the United States Navy. In addition, he was a member of Pine Lodge Masonic Lodge #642 A.F. & A.F.  and a member of the Wildwood Methodist Church. Eddy was a devoted family man, enjoyed hunting and fishing, and was an avid golfer. He will be dearly missed.

Survivors include his wife, Martha Parker; sons, John Parker and his wife, Joni, of Wildwood and Jay Parker and his wife, Kerri, of La Porte; grandchildren, Autumn Price and her husband, Cole; and Andrew, Madeline, Mikaela, and Blake Parker; great-grandson, Logan Price; brother, Mike Parker and his wife, Becky, of Logansport, Louisiana; sister, Anna Fisher and her husband, Jeff, of Keatchie, Louisiana; sister-in-law, Mary Parker of Keatchie, Louisiana; and numerous nieces and nephews and a host of other loving relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Henry Parker.

A gathering of Eddy’s family and friends will be from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m., Sunday, October 30, 2022, at Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee.  His graveside service will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, October 31, 2022, Longstreet Cemetery, Longstreet, LA.
