John  “John Boy” Kelly III

John Holland “John Boy” Kelly III, 59, of Tennessee, passed away peacefully in his sleep at Harbor Hospice on July 14, 2021, at Harbor Hospice, Beaumont. He was welcomed into the world to John Kelly, Jr. and Judy Kelly, in Pulaski, Tennessee, on November 15, 1961.

The family soon moved to Knoxville, Tennessee, where he grew up and eventually started his family. He worked as a carpenter and remodeling homes. He was known for his comical and outlandish personality. He loved spending time with his family and friends, barbecuing, laughing, joking, and having a great time. He loved his family and friends and will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Survivors include his father, John Kelly, Jr. and his wife, Pat Kelly, of Gatlinburg, Tennessee; son, John Kelly IV and his wife, Lytonya Kelly, of China; daughter, Kristle Kelly and her partner, Anthony Haygood, of Lumberton; brother, Tracy Kelly and brother-in-law, Speedy Howard, both of Knoxville, Tennessee; grandchildren, Jasmine Kelly, Julia Kelly, Joey Kelly, Jada Elrod, and Luna Kelly. He had lots of friends as well; ex-wife, Debbie Ball and her children, Storm Clark, Dakota Bray, and Davey Bray; friend, Kelly Elrod and her children, Dawn Doss, Mandi Brown, and James Elrod; and friends, Pam Jackson, Thomas Jackson, and Gary Willis. 

He is preceded in death by his mother, Judy Kelly; brother, Rick Kelly; sister, Lisa Kelly; sister-in-law, Susan Kelly; and niece, Michelle Howard.

His cremation arrangements will be handled through Broussard’s Crematorium under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105.

The family would like to thank Harbor Hospice in Beaumont for all their care and kindness.
