Debbie Storey Falgout

May 13, 1954 - September 28, 2017

Debbie Storey Falgout, 63, of Beaumont, died peacefully at home on Thursday, September 28, 2017, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Port Arthur, Texas, on May 13, 1954, to Dorothy Ruth Rabe Storey and Floyd Rosin Storey.

Debbie was an active member of the community. She spent her time counseling cancer survivors, traveling and she loved entertaining and spending time at the family lake house. She was enjoying her retirement after 28 years of dedicated service to the Jefferson County Courthouse. Debbie’s investment in retail therapy has delivered many a treasure to friends and strangers in need. In addition to raising her own children, and being a caregiver to her parents, Debbie dedicated her life to extending love, counsel, and generosity to every person who entered her life.

Debbie is a true example of Christ’s love. She will be remembered for her positive attitude, strong faith and courageous attitude during her 24-year battle with cancer. Her loving spirit, maternal instinct and amazing personality leaves us with a lot of memories, good times and laughter. She was indeed full of life, love and laughter! She touched all of us in a way that will live on forever.

Survivors include her husband, Louis Falgout; daughter, Lauren Welch and her husband, Ethan: one son, Tyler Falgout, all of Beaumont, Texas; brother, Donnie Storey and his wife, Debbie, of Nederland, Texas; sister, Sandra and her husband, Cliff, of Katy, Texas. She is also survived by her in-laws, Rudy and Pam Falgout; Neal and Helen Baker; Rusty and Shelia Harrell and numerous nieces and nephews who adored their Aunt Debbie. She is preceded in death by both her parents, and brother, Floyd Storey, Jr.

A gathering of family and friends will be from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., with a Rosary recited at 6:00 p.m., on Sunday, October 1, 2017, at Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin, Beaumont. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 2, 2017, at St. Anthony Cathedral Basilica, 700 Jefferson Street, Beaumont. Her interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Beaumont.
