May God watch over you during this time of your loss. Kathy was such a special friend. She was always there when you needed something. I never heard Kathy say a bad thing about anyone and her volunteerism was amazing. She was a great GFWC Texas clubwoman and her smile and fantastic personality will be missed.

I will always remember Kathy’s smile, her willingness to serve her community and the many fun times we had working together in Silsbee Woman’s Club and Friends of the Silsbee Public Library. Condolences to all her family. She loved you dearly.

I met Kathy through Texas Federation of Women's Clubs. Once you met Kathy she was always your friend, her contagious smile and bubbly personality would fill any room she entered. She will be greatly missed by everyone that knew her and worked with her. She worked long and hard devoting many hours to ensure that her Silsbee Club and Magnolia District would be recognized in our federation. May God shower his blessings upon her family, friends and club sisters.

Kathy did always have a big smile. She and I spent a couple of summers in Hawley, Texas, at Carl McDonald's house. We worked together on VBS, drove around the country with windows down, radio up loud, listening to "It's Judy's Turn to Cry". It was good times. I will miss her.

Kathy McBride was a joyful surprise.. The first time I saw her, and if I’m honest, every time we were together afterwards, it was always a bit of a surprise when she spoke. Her personality was the polar opposite of what you thought it would be. She was as giddy as a schoolgirl, as excitable as a child and as honest as the day is long. The trifecta of friendship. GFWC could not have asked for a more willing and devoted volunteer. Kathy didn’t shy from anything, she wore her emotions like a badge of honor, they were her shield and you knew beyond a doubt the depth of her sincerity. She has been a blessing to me and so many others. God bless you friend. We will miss you, truly.

I will miss my life long friend from 1st grade. She was a go getter who lived life with gusto and passion. I have so many wonderful memories that go way back. I will miss her dearly, but she is without pain and at peace now. I also know she and Weldon are back together again, and she couldn’t be happier. Condolences to her children and extended family. Love, Prissy

My deepest sympathy in the loss of such a precious lady. In our fun ‘wonder years’ Kathy and I worked as Panther moms and cheered our boys on through baseball and football! From those deepest roots our friendship grew. We moved away, as did they but seeing her picture and warm smile, it’s like yesterday. Your mom will always be remembered and until we meet again, I know she is in the arms of Jesus...whole and well. I love you all, Dianne

Kathy and I became friends in sixth grade when I moved to Kirbyville. We remained close friends for all these years, and I loved her dearly. I have so many wonderful memories of our years as friends, and these memories will remain in my heart. My heart is heavy because of her passing, but I can truly say that God blessed me with her friendship and love. RIP, Kathy, until we meet again!

Kathy was one of my nine Texas Federation of Women's Clubs District Presidents. She was a go-getter from the start. My heartfelt prayers go out to her family.
