Shirley Irene Parks, 83, of Port Neches, died Wednesday, February 27, 2019. She was born October 15, 1935, in Nederland, to Lola Etta Bailey Conner and Harry Conner. She was Vice President of Savings of America, Nederland, for twenty years.

Survivors include her sons, Bob Parks and his wife, Lea Ann, of Port Neches and Kenneth Parks and his wife, Theresa, of Kountze; seven grandchildren, Robby Parks; Ben Parks; Shawna Hensarling; Kayla Simmons; Lindsey Hashaw; Mandy Wilson; and Ashley Parks; fifteen great-grandchildren; brothers, Dale Conner and his wife, Donna, of Woodville and Eddie Conner and his wife, Carolyn, of Houston; sister, Darlene Badgley and her husband, Warren, of Friendswood; and sister-in-law, Barbara Parks, of Nederland.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Lola and Harry Conner; husband, Robert C. Parks; son, Gary Parks; and grandson, Alex Parks.

A gathering of Mrs. Parks’ family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Sunday, March 3, 2019, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. Her funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, March 4, 2019, at Broussard’s, Nederland, followed by her graveside service at 3:00 p.m., at Mount Zion Cemetery, Highway 287, Chester, Texas.
