Albert Leon Grissom

Albert Leon Grissom, 76, of Spurger, died Wednesday, February 22, 2023.  He was born on August 14, 1946, in Spurger, to Annie Odom Grissom and Ottis Grissom.

Survivors include his wife of fifty-seven years, Shirley Grissom; daughter, Donna Hudson and her husband, Buck, of Spurger; grandchildren, Christopher Parrish and his wife, Chelsea, of Spurger; Brianna Sumner and her husband, Samuel, of Silsbee; and Savannah Hudson of Spurger; great-granddaughter, Abigail Parrish; and brothers, Gilbert Grissom of Gatesville and Melvin Grissom of Dallas.  He is preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Jenevia Franklin, Louise Stephens, Jim Grissom, Lonnie B. Grissom, Wade Grissom, and J.O. Grissom.

A gathering of Albert’s family and friends will be 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Friday, February 24, 2023, at Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee.  His funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, February 25, 2023, at First Baptist Church, 12676 FM 92, Spurger, with his interment to follow at Turner Branch Cemetery, Spurger.
