Amanda Renée Leger Griffin

August 20, 1980 - July 15, 2021

Amanda Renée Leger Griffin, 40, of Kountze, died Thursday, July 15, 2021. She was born on August 20, 1980, in Beaumont, Texas, to Jeffrey and Renée Leger. She had a bright and shining personality right from the start.

Amanda was a gift to us, but she loved giving to others. Her love and compassion was undeniable when she worked as a CNA with the elderly and those in need of assistance. She was their voice when they had none and their greatest advocate, while also befriending with them with her crazy sense of humor and silliness, always putting smiles on their faces. Her compassion was immeasurable.

Amanda had many talents. She was a natural born salesman. She could sell anything and delighted in doing it! She also LOVED turning someone else’s trash into treasure – from broken to beautiful. Often, she would sell the items, or many times give them away just to brighten someone’s day. She also created an online shop called, “LaLa’s Farmhouse Boutique” to market her creations.

Amanda lived life to the fullest. She rode all the fast rides at the fair, flew in the plane with her dad, swam like a fish, and she loved the beach and the lake! She loved hunting and fishing- and anything camo or bling! Amanda had a heart the size of Texas, and she ALWAYS danced like no one was watching!

Amanda loved deeply. She cherished her friends and her enormous family. She also loved her community and supported our schools, our “HJ HAWKS”, and our Church. She was always ready to help raise funds locally for residents in need.

There are no words to describe Amanda’s personality. In fact, she could say just one word and bring the house down. It wasn’t the word, but the way she said it, the expression behind it, and of course the motion in her body that she used. I know her friends and family know what I’m talking about. When you see Khloe in action, you see Amanda. She referred to Khloe as her “Mini ME”!

Above all, Amanda loved God and her family. Her daughter, Khloe, was the light of her life, and her husband, Rob, her anchor. Their love grew as their faith grew.

Khloe was Amanda’s greatest JOY. Together, they were a powerful force. Amanda wanted the world for Khloe and Khloe wanted the same for Amanda. What God created between them was truly unconditional love. They taught each other in an amazing way – a way that only God can provide. Khloe has her mother’s compassion for people. She is especially drawn to provide for the homeless, and could not bear to pass one by without going back to them with a bag; including water, snacks, and various items, but ALWAYS a Bible. Khloe expressed her desire to start a ministry, so she could have all her bags prepared in advance. Amanda did her homework to set this up for Khloe and had her call each person that she chose to be on her Board of Trustees, explaining her mission. The ministry is called “Khloe’s Hope”.

The two of them also talked to her Pastor about Baptism. These things will live on through Khloe, and she’ll always feel her mom’s presence through them.

Our beautiful Amanda, WE LOVE YOU MORE!
