Angela Elise Serafino

March 4, 1983 - April 17, 2024

Angela Elise Serafino, 41, of Nederland, died Wednesday, April 17, 2024. She was born on March 4, 1983, in Pasadena to Kerri Haese Serafino and Bryan Serafino.

Angela from the moment she was born had the ability to capture your heart with a smile and a look from those big brown eyes and long eyelashes.

Her beginning years may have been difficult, but she never seemed to realize it. She overcame and endured so many difficulties from birth, but never seemed to be slowed down. As a young child she played Challenge League Baseball.

She loved the beach and fishing, although she didn’t like to touch the fish. Always being the girly girl, she loved fashion. Consistently knowing what to wear and whether it matched. She could tell you if your shoes matched your outfit or not.  A talent we took advantage of.

Despite her disabilities she was an adventurous soul who never met a stranger.

She attended Lamar University – Port Arthur shortly after graduating from Nederland High School in 2002. At one point even becoming a cheerleader for the basketball team’s inaugural year.

She loved going to Camp Summit every year where she would swim, ride horses, archery, arts and crafts, but her most favorite was the dance. She loved to spin around in her wheelchair. Angela loved sports whether playing, watching her little brother play, or her beloved Cowboys. Go Cowboys!

She loved to travel especially cruises. Visiting countries such as Mexico, Honduras, Belize, and the Cayman Islands.

Casinos were also a hobby of hers, including winning multiple jackpots!

Her smile could light up a room, and her love for life and tenacity was inspiring to all who knew her.

Rest in peace, dear Angela. Your love and memory will never be forgotten.

Survivors include her parents, Bryan and Kerri Serafino of Nederland; brother, Andrew Serafino of Austin; grandmothers, Joan Mancil of Beaumont, and Joyce Haese of Port Neches; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and other family members.

Angela is preceded in death by her grandparents, Charles and Jean Serafino; Walter Haese; and Walker Mancil.

Memorial contributions may be made to Camp Summit, 17210 Campbell Road, Suite 180-W, Dallas, Texas 75252.

I am just crushed by the news of Angela’s passing. (((((💔)))))😪

There are always those special few we don’t get to meet in this life but always wish we had. Your girl was one of those people for me. I never, ever saw a post about or picture of her without my whole spirit feeling alive, joyful, hopeful, grateful…and humbled. She was pure sunshine…and pure love.

It was an honor to know her through your generous sharing and to include her frequently in The Book of the Sick at Mass. What a gift to this world! I will forever count her as one of my holy influences in this life.

Peace and love to you all.
    I am crying again.

“Eternal rest grant unto her, oh Lord. Let Your perpetual light shine upon her. May her soul and the souls of the faithful departed rest in peace.” 🙏✝️✨🕊️

    John & Judy Bryant says:

Bryan and Kerri, our thoughts and prayer go out to you and all of Angela’s family friends and loved ones. Angela was a true angel on earth. Cory was never happier or felt that he was truly in the right place, as while he was in the presence of Angela. She leaves us with so many joyful, tearful, wonderful memories. May GOD welcome her into His loving heart and arms, and grant her salvation and a eternal life as a member of the family of GOD, in Heaven. We love you, and thank you for welcoming us into your loving family, for those special years.
