Ashley Rose Carlock

November 29, 2005 - February 3, 2024

Ashley Rose Carlock, 18, of Blanco, Texas, was called home to be with her Lord and Savior due to a car accident on Saturday, February 3, 2024. She will be missed more than words can express, but we find peace knowing that she is in the arms of Jesus.

Ashley was born in Port Arthur, Texas, on November 29, 2005, to Lisa Marie Repasky Carlock and Matthew Aaron Carlock. From a young age, Ashley wanted to be a cowgirl and a “pistol-packin’ mama.” Ashley religiously carried her toy pistol to be just like her daddy. As a little girl, Ashley developed her love for Jesus Christ and made the decision at 8 years old to accept Jesus as her Lord and Savior. Ashley’s faith was unwavering, and she was known to spread God’s word to her family and friends.

Ashley was a fun-loving, intelligent young woman with a big heart. She was a natural beauty inside and out. She loved her horses and barrel racing, hunting, riding four-wheelers, and being with nature. One of her all-time favorite hobbies was shopping with family and friends, but mostly with her daddy (for obvious reasons). Ashley liked to relax by hanging out with her friends and listening to music while laughing and cutting up. One of their favorite songs was The Joker by the Steve Miller Band (Fly High Space Cowboy).

Ashley was set to graduate high school in May and looked forward to attending the Aveda Institute in Lafayette, Louisiana. She dreamed of having her own salon and day spa, working alongside her momma.

More important than her dreams and future plans, was her loyalty and love to those who were family or friends. She truly wanted the best for everyone around her. Ashley was a great listener and problem solver, offering her assistance and encouragement. She was truly a friend in every sense of the word.

Survivors include her parents; grandparents; Debbie Turner Jones of Blanco, Texas; John Repasky of West Monroe, New York; Greg Jones of Beaumont, Texas; Wanda Heitz-Jarrell and her husband, Ben, of Dequincy, Louisiana; and Walter Carlock of Amarillo; great-grandparents, Sue “Big Maw” Repasky of Bridge City, Texas and Marjorie Maggard of Proctor, Oklahoma; aunts and uncles, Steve Carlock and his wife, Kari, of Lake Charles, Louisiana; Kyle Jarrell and Denyliz Vega, of Dequincy, Louisiana; and Glenn Carlock of Amarillo, Texas; great-aunts and great-uncles, Nancy Metcalf and her husband, Greg, of Canyon Lake, Texas; Roy Repasky and his wife, Lily, of Damon, Texas; and Jackie Rose and her husband, Doug, of Brownwood, Texas; and many other extended family and friends.

While Ashley’s time in life was limited, her impact on others was not. She was loved by so many. She will be missed by people all over the country.

A gathering of Ashley’s family and friends will begin at 1:00 p.m., with her funeral service at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, February 11, 2024, at Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee. Her cremation arrangements will be handled through Broussard’s Crematorium.

Immediately following her funeral service, a celebration of Ashley’s life will be held in the form of meal at the First Baptist Church of Kountze, 100 W Monroe Street, Kountze. The family has requested that if you would like to contribute to the preparation of the meal, there will be someone present, Sunday morning, at the Fellowship Hall to accept these contributions, as either delivery service or drop-off, beginning at 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.

So very sorry I missed her service . I kept looking and never saw it in time. My prayers are with The entire family.
I never met your beautiful girl but after reading all the comments I have no doubt of her kind beautiful soul. Her outer beauty was obvious. God needed her way too soon.

I had the absolute pleasure of meeting Ashley and her family many years ago when Lisa and I worked closely together at the Calcasieu Parish Nursing Department. We were instant friends and spent a lot of time together outside of work. Ashley had the same sparkle and light as her Momma even as a little girl. If there is a family that God picked specifically to bring light into this world, it is this one. I am so sorry for this heartbreaking loss, some angels do their jobs here early on. I love you Lisa. Please let me be there for you the way you were for me. I am just a call or text away. ❤️🙏🏻

I met ashley in middle school , from the first time we met she could always light up any room she walked in, she could make friends with anyone she met. The Carlock’s took me in when we were in high school. Ashley never failed to remind me I could always come home to her no matter the time, or situation. Ashley taught me so much to life most importantly what a true friend is. She introduced me to everyone at school as her sister, she never made me feel out of place or different. I will never forget the kindness ashley had. She was an amazing friend. She treated all of her friends like family, I hope I can be half the person she is. I experienced so many of my first’s in life with Ashley by my side. When I cried she wiped away my tears, when I laughed she laughed with me. I will cherish these memories forever. She was the most caring gentle soul, but still so strong and brave. Ive never met anyone with such a warm embrace….We were girls together…I can’t thank God enough for the time he gave me with her. Until we meet again cowgirl<3

Loving, charismatic, diligent, caring, affectionate, generous, compassionate, considerate, empathetic, forgiving, open minded, optimistic, and kind. All of those things described Ashley Rose Carlock. It was an absolute blessing to know you and spend the time with you that we did. But don’t forget she’s in the good place now; no sadness, depression, anxiety, worry. It’s nothing but laughter and joy for her from the moment she took her last breath. Fly high beautiful and we’ll see you again one day ! 🫶🏽

    Aimee McQueen says:

Ashley Rose is beautiful inside and out. To know her is to love her. I’ve enjoyed watching her grow up into a good hearted woman just like her momma. Quick witted like her daddy. She will continue to live on in each and everyone she touched. I’m thankful to have known her. So many beautiful posts about her memory and how she impacted so many lives. I know her momma and daddy are so proud of her. Lisa and Matt we love y’all and always here for y’all

    Kaylee Rose says:

You always pushed me to be a better person and you have helped shape me in to who I am today. You will always be my best friend and my future kids will know all about their Aunt Ashley. Thank you for everything, my sweet Angel. I love and miss you more than you will ever know.

    Payton Meadow says:

Ashley rose was the prettiest angel on earth. Her smile could light up a room and her laugh was contagious. She made friends easily and was quick to steal your heart. She had a way about her that made anyone comfortable even though she was a little intimidating to people who didn’t know her. She was just a strong spirit like that. She was funny, brave, stubborn, and determined. She meant a whole lot to quite a few people. She meant a lot to me. We may have only had a few short years together but they were the best years of my life. She reminded me of my worth and how strong I could be. She made me feel beautiful when I was at my lowest. She lifted me up and made sure I knew how much she loved me. She was a sister to me, a best friend, my sons godmother, the only person I trusted, my better half. Her presence in my life made me feel warm and cozy like a home I never knew before. She shed a light in my life that left me with such a brightness, that even after she’s gone, will never fade. There are no words to explain her true beauty inside and out to its full extent. To say she will be missed is an extreme understatement. To say our hearts are beyond repair without her is not of measure to the true emptiness we feel. I’ll love you forever, coors cowboy. You’re rockin in heaven now, my girl. ❤️‍🩹
