Barbara Schooley

January 11, 1949 - December 10, 2017

Barbara “Bobbie” LeJune Schooley, 68, of Houston, formerly of China, died Sunday, December 10, 2017, at Memorial Hermann Hospital Southwest, Houston. She was born on January 11, 1949, to Dora Mire LeJune and Euger LeJune, in Beaumont. Bobbie was very good at arts and crafts and enjoyed quilting. She loved her dog, “Mimi”.

Survivors include her husband, Paul Edward Schooley, Sr.; sisters, Lita Deets of Silsbee; Hazel Trahan and Jeannette Cicero, both of Beaumont; Shirley Bertrand and her husband, L.J., of Winnie; Kathryn Touchet of Cisco; and Therese “LuLu” Evans and her husband, Tom, of Houston; special niece, Tess Evans of Berkley, California; Paul’s children, Cheron Schooley and Paul Edward Schooley, Jr.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Wilda Whitehead and Azelie “Dee Dee” Martel; and Paul’s children, Cathy Ledbetter and Michael Edward Schooley.

A gathering of Mrs. Schooley’s family and friends will be from 6:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., with a Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m., Friday, December 15, 2017, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, December 16, 2017, at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, 245 West Highway 90, China. Interment will follow at China Cemetery.
