Ben Meza, 81, of Port Neches, died Friday, March 8, 2024. He was born September 23, 1942.

Survivors include his daughters, Stacy Fuller and husband, Steve, and Dixie Garcia and husband, Rick; and siblings, Bill Meza; James Meza and wife, Jackie; Richard Meza and wife, Stella; Carmen Trahan and husband, John; Helen Garcia and husband, Julian; and Beatrice Premeaux.

He is preceded in death by his parents and siblings, George Meza and Marsha Meza Lurie.

A gathering of Mr. Meza’s family and friends will begin at 10:00 a.m., with a funeral service at 11:00 a.m., Friday, March 15, 2024, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. His interment will be held at Houston National Cemetery at a later date.

    Ben and I shared a 4 person cubicle in the Stock Dept. at Texaco for a couple of years. Ben was one of the most even tempered people I have encountered and a pleasure to know and to work with.
