Bessie Soffes Castille

Bessie Soffes Castille, 97, of Beaumont, died Saturday, February 18, 2017. She was born on March 2, 1919, to Catherine Casses Soffes and Spero Soffes, in Beaumont.

Survivors include her daughter, Nancy Rose of Hollywood, Florida; son, Bobby Kline of Spring Lake, North Carolina; daughters, Susan Martin of LaBelle, Alice Weikel of Cheek; and Mary Flannigan of Fannett; thirteen grandchildren; twenty-four great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Alice Parish of Nederland; Anna Wilson of Brenham; Mary Manley of Houston; and Pamela Vaughn of Soso, Mississippi.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, DeCheil Joseph Castille; son, Arthur Kline; daughter, Katherine Davis; grandchildren; Sharon Zoch, Terri Young, Brandon Hebert; and eight siblings.

A gathering of Mrs. Castille’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 21, 2017, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. Her funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 22, 2017, at Broussard’s, with interment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Beaumont.
