Beverly Joyce Horn

July 3, 1926 - November 26, 2022

Beverly Joyce Horn, 96, of Beaumont, died November 26, 2022.  She was born on July 3, 1926, in Humble, to Mamie Mae Gartman Fulgham and James E. Fulgham.

Beverly Joyce Horn was a beautiful Christian wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.  She loved the Lord, her family, friends, and church family.  She was employed by Sun Oil Company as a secretary for ten years before meeting her handsome husband.

She valued education and was an Honor student at South Park High School.  She was so proud her daughters and granddaughters all graduated from college.  Always thoughtful with cards and notes, she had the most beautiful, perfect handwriting.  Nothing made her more happy than spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  She loved planning family vacations and was always the one behind the camera taking home movies and photos.

She was a beautiful seamstress making many clothes and prom dresses for her daughters.  At Christmas Daddy would make wooden reindeer, she would decorate them, and they would take great pleasure in giving them away.  She was a wonderful cook and always had the freezer and pantry full from the garden.  She also loved the many homes Daddy built that she helped to design. No one had a cleaner or tidier home!  When Daddy retired and they built their last home in Spurger you could always count on them having coffee on the back porch in the afternoon at 3:30 and anyone was welcome to drop by for a cup.

She was greatly loved and will be missed by all.  The family would like to thank the staff at Rosemary House for the loving care extended to her.

Survivors include her husband of sixty-nine years, Bailey Gene Horn; daughters, Susan Montagne and her husband, Ray, of Orange and Carole Calvert and her husband, Frank, of Beaumont; granddaughters, Lindsey Keegan of Nederland; Kristy Erwin and her husband, Ryan, of Marshall; Cortney Miller and her husband, Drew, of Orangefield; and Kimberly Calvert of Dallas; great-grandsons, Will Rutledge and Andy Rutledge, both of Orangefield and Gage Erwin of Marshall; and great-granddaughter, Gentry Erwin of Marshall.  She is preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Mildred Fulgham, Doris Feagin, J.E. Fulgham, Jr., Robert Fulgham, and Donnie Fulgham.

A gathering of Mrs. Horn’s family and friends will begin at 1:00 p.m., with her funeral service at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, December 3, 2022, at Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee.  Her interment will follow at Magnolia Springs Cemetery, Magnolia Springs.
