Bob Bunyard
Bob Bunyard, 83, of Beaumont, Texas, began his heavenly family reunion when he walked through the Pearly Gates on Saturday, March 25, 2023.
He was born on June 2, 1939, in Henryetta, Oklahoma to Marvin and Lee Ola Bunyard.
Bob was a beloved husband, father, and papa. He was married to Pat Bunyard, whom he affectionately called “Slim” for 62 years. They met at an ice cream shop in Henryetta, Oklahoma. That day Bob told his brothers that he just met the woman he would marry. She was the love of his life and their beautiful marriage set the example for what true love should be. Theirs will forever be the love that their children and grandchildren aspire to emulate.
He was a devoted father and a hero in the eyes of his three daughters, Robyn, Debbie, and Patti. He was a smitten Papa to Katie, Kara Beth, Luke, Jacob, Sunni, Bailey, Oliver, and his great granddaughter Marabeth. Bob’s world revolved around his family. Whatever the request, the answer was always yes before the question was asked.
Bob worked for PPG Industries as a shipping & receiving supervisor and customer service manager for 36 years. Through the years, Bob was an avid golfer and car enthusiast. Until very recently, he spent every Saturday morning having breakfast with his car club buddies. After retirement, he and Slim enjoyed many years RV’ing across the country with friends and family.
Bob was never happier than when surrounded by his family, making music, playing card games at the kitchen table, or any opportunity to spend time with the people he loved and who loved him the most.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Pat Bunyard; daughters, Robyn Whitney, Debbie Pallone and husband, Chris, Patti Martin and husband, Doug; grandchildren, Katie Celli and husband, Frank, Luke Whitney and wife, Victoria, (and baby Georgia on the way), Sunni Moss and husband, Ryan, Jacob Pallone and fiancée, Marissa, Bailey Martin and fiancé, Paul, and Oliver Martin; great-granddaughter, Marabeth Celli; brother, Reg Bunyard; and a host of loving family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Benny and M.L. Bunyard; sister, Helen Buell; and granddaughter, Kara Beth Whitney.
A gathering of Mr. Bunyard’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Thursday, March 30, 2023, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. His cremation arrangements were handled through Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont.
The greatest gift a father can give his children is his love for their mother.

I have no idea why Bob popped up in my mind today and I had to search the internet. Was so sorry to hear he had passed. I have so many memories of our Saturday golf games and everything Bob did to support me as I grew up at PPG. I can truly say he is and will always have a place in my memories and my heart. May Gods perpetual light shine upon you
Thought of Bob frequently about our days @ Houston Chemical (PPG) in the shipping Dept.
Remembering his Caribell kick and our days on the golf course.
Condolences to his family, you will be greatly missed by all.
Pat, Robyn, Debbie, Pattie and all the kids,
My most sincere condolences to you all. Bob was a great man and without a doubt, his greatest love and source of pride was his family. I know your hearts are heavy, may they be filled with peace and healing.
I really enjoyed knowing Bob and his family over the years.
Prayers for God’s peace.
The passing of Bob brought back memories of a guy who always had a smile to greet everyone he met. He was a co-worker, a friend, and a neighbor. I always enjoyed conversations with Bob, he was a great listener and never harsh in his attitude or references to others. Raye and I would like to offer our most heartfelt condolences to Pat, his wife, his children, and to all those who loved him and will dearly miss him. May he rest in peace.
I am so sorry for your loss. My parents where neighbors, Don & Mary and it was comforting knowing you watched over them. May Bob rest in peace.
I am so sorry for this loss. I am praying for you family to have understanding and peace
With heartfelt for the entire family. Bob was an amazing, gentle man who I always admired the love for his family.
