Bonnie was an incredibly loving and dedicated mother, friend, and grandmother. Bonnie had a servant’s heart; she strongly believed in lifting others by serving and encouragement. Some of the organizations at which she served were Julie Rodger Gift of Life Program, St. Anne Catholic Church, and Monsignor Kelly Catholic High School. She focused her love particularly on the homeless population, her children recall many nights with her driving around giving out toiletries and blankets to those in need.
She was also a proud member of Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR), Sierra Club, Delta Kappa Gamma, and the PEO Sisterhood. Bonnie was passionate about her family history. She personally researched her lineage back to the original thirteen colonies, the American Revolution, and even Europe in the 18th Century.
Bonnie’s soul was full of adventure and energy. Some of her lifetime adventures included: parasailing, skydiving, skiing, scuba diving, traveling around the world, road trips, vacations with family, and socializing with her tight knit, yet, ever-expanding friend group and pranksters, “The Birthday Club.”

I will always remember how special Bonnie made me feel when I was visiting and she hosted Christmas at her house. She took time out of the busy day to set aside a moment for the ladies. I can’t recall the conversation but I can remember raising my glass of wassail to a toast and how touched I was to be invited and seamlessly included in the shared moment as if I had always been a part of her friends and family. Her eyes were shining as bright as her smile, and this is how I will always remember her.
bonnie’s mom & my mom were beauty shop friends for decades at julia’s.

Fully enjoyed her company. I’m so sad. But family is more so. I haven’t met kids or grandkids, but she was so proud. I can’t think of many people that smiled so much. A joy! She will be missed!
