Braxton Rhett Barrow

September 3, 2019 - March 9, 2024

We are immensely saddened to announce the passing of Braxton Rhett Barrow, 4, of Kountze. Braxton tragically passed away unexpectedly in the early morning hours of March 9, 2024. Those who were blessed to know Braxton will feel his absence forever. Braxton was born on September 3, 2019, in Sulphur, Louisiana, to Monica Landry and Rhett Tyler Barrow, Jr.

Braxton was such a precious child and a true joy to be around. He was able to teach us so much in his short life. There is no doubt that he was destined to be something special with his funny, silly and inquisitive personality.

Braxton loved his parents and little brother so much. He loved to snuggle and pick flowers for his mom, hunt with his Dad, and wrestle with him while playing Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. He was such a sweet helper and big brother to Logan.

Some of Braxton’s favorite things were all the sweets like ice cream, cookies, and cake. He was also crazy about his crazy bread. He loved his friends and teachers at MET Head Start, playing video games with all his cousins & Dad, singing and taking trips with his grandparents. He was so excited to start his first T-ball season. His favorite outfit was his underwear.

Even though his time was cut tragically short here on earth, we know he’s in the arms of Jesus and finally able to fish with his Paw Paw Ralph.

Braxton had a large group of family that loved him unconditionally including his mom, Monica Landry; brother, Logan Barrow; maternal grandmother, Cheryl Landry of Sulphur, Louisiana; paternal grandparents; Monica Landis of Kountze; Rhett Barrow, Sr. and Brenda Hurst of Newton; and paternal great-grandparents; Orvile and Juanita Landis of Kountze; Gayle Brockman of Beaumont; and Carolyn Denard of Newton; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Braxton is preceded in death by his father, Rhett Barrow, Jr.; cousins; Blake Landis-Alexander and Noah Morris; and grandfather, Randolph Landry.

A gathering of Braxton’s family and friends will begin at 11:00 a.m., with his funeral service at 12:00 p.m., Friday, March 15, 2024, at Cornerstone Baptist Church, 1600 South Pine Street, Kountze, under the direction of Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee. His interment will be at Hooks Cemetery.

Until we meet again our sweet Braxton.
