Carlos “Cabon” Nicolas Rodriguez
Carlos “Cabon” Nicolas Rodriguez, 45, died Monday, October 10, 2022. He was born to Estela Zuniga Capilla and Carlos Nicolas Rodriguez-Cortez on October 9, 1977, in Mexico City, Mexico.
Mr. Rodriguez was a longtime member of the St. Louis Catholic Church in Winnie, and he worked as a foreman in the oil and gas industry for several years. He loved anything to do with the outdoors but will be remembered most for his love for his family.
Survivors include his wife of twenty-six years, Lidia Rodriguez of Winnie; children, Ana Rodriguez, Angelica Rodriguez, and Carlos N. Rodriguez, of Winnie; grandchild, Allison Mata; parents, Carlos and Estela Rodriguez, of Houston; brothers, Nicolas Rodriguez and wife, Vicki; Arturo Rodriguez and wife, Rosy; Jorge Rodriguez and wife, Ana; Cesar Rodriguez and wife, Shena; Jesus Rodriguez and wife, Lenny; Edward Rodriguez and wife, Miranda; and Simon Rodriguez; sisters, Marisol Escobar and husband, Jose; Maria Rodriguez; Maria Montalvo and husband, Ricardo; Ana Susanna Rodriguez; Maribel Lopez and husband, Cristian; Esmeralda Aplicano and husband, Rafael; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
A gathering of Mr. Rodriguez’s family and friends will be from 2:00 p.m. until 12:00 a.m., with a Rosary recited at 6:00 p.m., Friday, October 14, 2022, at his home, 2132 Thomas Road, Winnie. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, October 15, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Louis Catholic Church, 315 West Buccaneer Drive, Winnie, with his committal to follow at Broussard’s Crematorium.
