Carrel Hanley
Carrel Frank Hanley, 94, of Nederland, passed away Tuesday, November 16, 2021. He was born October 20, 1927, in Flatwoods, Louisiana, to Harriet Martin and William L. Hanley.
Carrel was a United States Army veteran having served during World War II. He was lifetime member of the Carpenters Local and retired from Ameripol-Synpol Refinery. Carrel was charter member of Wesley United Methodist Church and later in life a member of First United Methodist Church. He always loved to help people in any way that he could. Carrel was a loving and caring husband, father, mentor, and friend.
Survivors include his son, Matt Hanley and wife, Dawn; daughter, Mariann Curtice and husband, Britt; daughters-in-law, Carolyn Hanley and Ashley Hanley; grandchildren, Nicole Hanley; Brittney Curtice; Carra Curtice; Jason Hanley; Ashley Melancon; Kodie Hanley; Camryn Hanley; and Andrew Hanley; and great-grandchildren, Devin Kibodeaux, Kolbie Curtice, and Lauren and Madison Melancon.
Carrel is preceded in death by his parents; wife of sixty-two years, Annell; and sons, Michael Hanley and wife, Deborah and Mark Hanley.
A gathering of Mr. Hanley’s family and friends will be 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Friday, November 19, 2021, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. His funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, November 20, 2021, at Broussard’s, with his entombment to follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park, Port Neches.
