Carrie Benoit
Carrie Eloise Benoit, 70, of Winnie, died Saturday, November 13, 2021, at Harbor Hospice of Beaumont. She was born July 8, 1951, to Helen Smith and Joe Barnard, in Dayton. She was a cook at Lercy’s, the Silver Spoon, and Melancon’s Café. Carrie enjoyed gardening, fishing, and watching soap operas. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, and meme.
Survivors include her husband of forty-seven years, Glenn Benoit Sr., of Winnie; daughters, Angie Lafluer and Candy Benoit and fiancé, Dereck Kramer, all of Winnie; son, Glenn Benoit Jr. and wife, Lauren, of Fannett; grandchildren, Molly; Jett; Lanny; Harley; Jaylee; Alex; Brandon; Logan; and Holden; great-grandchildren, Zoey and Daxtyn; brothers, Chalrie Huffman and wife, Louise, of Dayton and Skip Barnard and wife, Christine, of New Caney; numerous nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
Carrie is preceded by her parents, Helen Smith and Joe Barnard; sisters, Callie Lemons and Ann Barnard; and brother, Tommy Barnard.
A gathering of Mrs. Benoit’s family and friends will be 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 17, 2021, at Broussard’s, 134 West Buccaneer Drive, Winnie. Her funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, November 18, 2021, at Broussard’s, Winnie, with her interment to follow at Fairview Cemetery, Winnie.
