Catherine Weekly

Catherine Weekly, 79, of Winnie, died Friday, March 26, 2021, at The Arboretum of Winnie. She was born on August 26, 1941, to Blanche Jo Martindale Lowe and Wesley James Lowe, in Winshire. She enjoyed playing Bingo, listening to music, fishing, and working in her garden. She will be remembered for her love for her grandchildren and family.

Survivors include her sons, Roland Weekly and his wife, Jeanette and Wesley Weekly and his wife, Linda, all of Winnie; and Emory Weekly and his wife, Beverly, of Tarkington Prairie; grandchildren, Derrick, Erin, Josh, Jackie, Amanda, Chris, Sarah, Wesley, Jr., Sumer, and Rodger; twenty-four great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson; and sister, Minnie Belle Burley of College Station.

She is preceded in death by her daughter, Catherine “Papoose” B’Westia; parents; four brothers; and two sisters.

A gathering of Mrs. Weekly’s family and friends will begin at 1:00 p.m., with her funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 30, 2021, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. Her interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Winnie.

The family would like to give a special thank you to the staff at The Arboretum for the great care they gave Catherine.
