Chuck and Carole both welcomed me from the very start. Chuck often had that big smile and with a hug, he’d say “well hello Misty, how’ve you been darlin?”. I didn’t talk to Chuck a lot, one on one because I was a little intimidated ????♀️ It probably had more to do with how messed up my insides were because I sure loved listening to him share in those meetings. Through the beautiful words spoken about him, I got to see him a little clearer. Maybe I just wasn’t quite yet ready to hear what I most likely needed to hear. But he always made me feel loved. The more I hear about Chuck, the more I wish I could have had some of those conversations. But I’m forever grateful for the ones he had with my mom and the things he taught my brother and my husband Sean, by those praying hands. I’ve had the honor of working on those steps with both Carole and Mary at some point and I remember talks on those swings and the campouts and good cookin too. I love you all. Thank you for every seed you planted. And Chuck, I’m counting on you and Sean and Ricky saving me a seat this time. Oh what a day that will be.
Come on in son have a seat we’ve been waiting on you. That was my first meeting with Chuck at908 Boston Ave
Chuck not only talked the talk he walked the walk. His message carried depth and weight He will be forever missed but not forgotten. His message will carry on through countless others.Thank you
Carrol, T,and Mary for all you do and for always being there
Chuck is the love of my life, my husband of 31 years, my friend, my confidant, we have had a great love for AA & Al-Anon, we made meetings whenever the doors were open, traveled to various places and always made meetings. He always said that “Meeting makers make it” this is so true. The only time he didn’t make meetings, has been when he has been ill. I Love you Chuck for our Marriage, for our family’s coming together and being a “Family”. Love you always and forever. Your loving Wife Carole
PS “See you when I get there, save me a seat baby next yours.”
Because of you an 8 yr old got to meet her Daddy. Thank you so much for shaking my Daddy’s hand that day. Forever grateful.
That same girl met you when she was 8…31 yrs ago wow. I have a permanent scar under my chin cause I wanted to give you a hug so bad but was clumsy and fell on those cement steps at the hall, just one memory of you…I have many from my youth that I cherish. I love you.
Dear Chuck and family, I met Chuck 23 years ago at my first meeting. Chuck was the man that convinced me to come back again and over the years we developed a beautiful relationship. My first Thanksgiving and Christmas sober, Chuck and his beautiful wife Carol invited me to be a part of their family and it has been that way ever since. I am forever grateful for the love and memories we shared. Thank you both.
Been knowing Chuck sense we was kids. A better friend you couldn’t find
Been knowing Chuck sense we was kids as good of friend as you can have
I will miss you always. Pamela Lynne

When I walked in the door Chuck said you’re new here aren’t you I said yes he said well you will always have a place to go, and you won’t have to be lonely again AR we can refund your misery at the door. Thank you Chuck for all you did for me and everyone else.
Rest Easy Chuck, my apologies for not being there. I’ll always remember your stories and words of wisdom. You will definitely be one of the ones who will be remembered. Until we meet again, love you Chuck.
As I sit here eating lunch after a great church service I was reflecting on Chuck L. And realized that if not for him and his carrying the message of helping others and living for God that I seriously doubt I’d be enjoying anything in life. As a direct result of his efforts today I am free of the bondage of addiction and can be a son and a boyfriend and a employee. It’s through the self sacrifice of he and the ones
he touched that I’m able to be a better person . I will never forget his smile and will do my best to honor him.
Thank you so much for this. It means the world to us.
Words can not express my gratitude for Mr Chuck…his yrs of service paved the road for me and so many others…his comment and love for all trying to find a better way…I’ll never forget Mr Chuck…one day we we going around the room introducing ourselves…I said “I’m Tina. Alcoholic and and addict…” Mr Chuck says “bragger, I’m a over eater and work Alcoholic, you don’t here me announce all my isms…this is Alcoholics Anonymous, stick to singleness of purpose”.. and I learned…thank you Mr Chuck…I’ll see ya I the big meeting in heaven…
Carol and Mary

Thank you for all that you had done for us Chuck. It is because of you that I have a father figure in my life, a restored family, and countless amounts of beautiful friends that you have mentored throughout the years. I’m forever grateful for the man that you were. Indirectly, because of you taking the time to help someone else, that very same person, has helped me restore my life, and countless others. Because of you Chuck, I get to give freely of what you gave to me. I love you, save me a seat until we meet again.
Thank you Chuck. Your outlook helped change mine for the better. Rest In Peace good and faithful servant.
I came through the front room when it was getting started and Chuck was basically the building committee. He told me if we needed anything to keep that meeting going to let him know. He bought us tables, chairs and a big coffee maker. I don’t think that the front room would’ve existed without him. He was such a generous man and I will miss him.
Chuck will be forever remembered sitting in that first chair when you walk through the doors. Thank you Chuck for leading the way for so many lost souls.
Chuck was a remarkable and memorable man. He never met a stranger, and people remembered meeting him. Gregarious and kind, my generous father-in-law gave freely of his time and attention and helped scores of people in the process. I am proud to be Chuck’s son-in-law. Thank you to the rest of the family for giving me the honor and privilege of chairing our meeting.

Words can’t express the love and gratitude I have for meeting Chuck on April 24th, 1990. It was truly the hand of God and divine intervention that prodded him into shaking my hand that night and taking me and my family under his wing. Chuck always had the exact words I needed to hear and the patience of listening to a young man 33 years his junior. Thank you Mary, Charley, and Pam for sharing your dad with me and my family. Thank you Carole for allowing us all to share your happy marriage through the years. Chuck’s legacy lives on through 1000’s of changed lives over the last 33+ years of Chuck doing God’s will and through us all, part of you will always be with us and live on.
Chuck, I know your at the Big Gathering of Eagles Mtg…. We love you.
Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. Amen.
I love you Daddy. You will always be my hero.
I’m so sorry for your loss…you dad was a good man and helped so many..
Save me a seat at the meeting, Chuck. I’ll see you there when my race is run. You ran well with the assignment you were given and many more will be there because of your selflessness to give away what was freely given to you!
