Charles H. Poskey
Charles H. Poskey passed away peacefully at his home, Wednesday, March 20, 2024.
Charles was born May 31, 1935, in Humble, Texas, to Albert Harmon and Louise Poskey. The family moved in 1945 to Port Neches. He graduated from Port Neches – Groves High School, in 1953.
Charles attended Lamar University and served in the United States Army where he was based in Germany.
He began his career at Jefferson Chemical Company, now Texaco, in Port Neches, in 1960. After 20 years, he retired and became an operations consultant. He worked for several companies overseas and retired in 2000. For several years, he enjoyed raising cattle at his ranch in Larue, Texas.
On January 10, 1960, he married Oralia “Lolly” Mendez and had one son, Michael A. Poskey.
Charles is survived by his loving wife; brother, Jack Poskey and his wife, Faye, of El Campo; and son, Michael A. Poskey and his wife, Tina, of Beaumont.
A gathering of Mr. Poskey’s family and friends will be from 4:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., with a Rosary to be recited at 5:00 p.m, Tuesday, March 26, 2024, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, March 27, 2024, at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 211 Hardy Avenue, Nederland. His entombment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Groves.
