Darlene Sheila Richardson Rutledge & Terry Dean Rutledge

August 27, 2020 - June 10, 2022

Darlene Sheila Richardson Rutledge was born on October 24, 1941, to Wesley “Red” Richardson and Elizabeth Wells Richardson.  She passed away on August 27, 2020, at the age of 78. She was a beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother.  She was a great cook and loved to have flowers and plants blooming all around her.  She also loved hunting and fishing as long as she was able.

Terry Dean Rutledge was born on October 15, 1939, to Bryant Rutledge and Laura Mae Thurman Rutledge.  He passed away on June 10, 2022, at the age of 82.   He was a husband, father, brother, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was an avid fisherman and loved to hunt.

They were married 62 years prior to Darlene’s passing.

They were blessed with 3 children, Clint (Steve) and his wife, Nancy, of Sour Lake, Michael of Sour Lake, and Stephanie Rutledge of Friendswood. Darlene is survived by one sister, Delores Wilson of Evadale. Terry is survived by one sister, Cheryl Huelsman of Vidor and two brothers, Ricky and wife, Cindy and Roger Rutledge and wife, Sammie, of Vidor. They are also survived by grandchildren, Aaron Hasse and wife, Kimmi, of Friendswood, Amanda McCorvy of Sour Lake, Rachelle Myers and husband, David, of Lumberton, and Cassidy Rizk of Friendswood. Great-grandchildren include Gavin Weeks, Luke Weeks, Matthias Weeks, Ella Myers, Gracin McCorvy, Rhett Myers, and Jett McCorvy.

Terry and Darlene are truly missed by their loved ones who celebrate that they are at peace with their creator.

A gathering of Mr. and Mrs. Rutledge’s family and friends will begin at 1:00 p.m. with a celebration of their lives to follow at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, July 16, 2022, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. Their cremation arrangements were handled through Broussard’s Crematorium.
