Delwin Woodrow Chance
Delwin Woodrow Chance, 82, of Orange, died Wednesday, March 20, 2024. He was born July 20, 1941, in Louisiana, to Gennie Vie Brown Chance and Henry Woodrow Chance.
Survivors include his wife, Janice Romero Chance; children, Malandi Reed and husband, Samuel, and Bruce Chance; grandchildren, Emily Erway, and her fiancé, Bryson Bourgeois, Ayden Chance, and Destin Chance; and great-grandchild, Elliot Bourgeois.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Randy Chance; and sister, Melba Gillespie.
A gathering of Mr. Chance’s family and friends will be 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Monday, March 25, 2024. His funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 26, 2024, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. His interment will follow at Prewitt’s Chapel Cemetery, 383 Prewitt Chapel Road, Hornbeck, Louisiana.

Mr. Chance was one of my favorite credit union members. I will miss him calling me about business but not hanging up before we talked about the Dallas Cowboys and him asking me if I’m married to that Fort Worth guy yet. My thoughts and prayers are with the whole family. God Bless you all.
