Picking blackberries behind the house and going to the post office for the mail with Don was time when we talked and enjoyed being family. He was always sweet to me and offered kind words as his grandchildren grew up. He was excited about great grandchildren and sent cards and birthday gifts to the kids. He also passed his love for music to my children. He was a sweet father-in law and grand-dad..He will surely be missed. We can think of him him fondly with his smile and unique chuckle..

If someone asked me abouy Don I would say he was such a wonderful man to those around him. Don had the greatest sense of humor that always made me laugh...he was a very quick witted person who enjoyed making people around him feel a part of every conversation. I will miss him and I will hold memories of him close.
