Donna Faye Bertrand
Donna Faye Bertrand, 74, of Hamshire, passed away on December 14, 2023. Born on September 13, 1949, in Beaumont, to Melba Jordan and Willie Iguess, she leaves behind a legacy of love and warmth.
Donna found joy in the simple pleasures of life, dedicating herself to the art of sewing and the delight of cooking. Her hands created not just stitches and recipes, but a tapestry of memories that will endure.
Her heart belonged to her family, and the love she shared was felt by all fortunate enough to be part of her life. Donna’s Sundays were a celebration of faith, as she cherished the moments spent at church, finding solace and community.
Survivors include her loving husband, Lee Allen Bertrand; her sister, Margaret Miller; children, Trina Purcell and her husband, Sean, Michael Graham and his wife, Amy, Derek Graham and his wife, Tara, Angela Easeley, and Todd Bertrand; grandchildren, Emily Vaglica, Alexandra Smith, Cade Purcell, Sadie Graham, Remmi Graham, Isaac Graham, Tristan Pierson, Kane Graham, Atlas Graham, Evan Easeley, and Lauren Easeley; and eight great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Dale Iguess.
A gathering of Mrs. Bertrand’s family and friends will begin at 12:00 p.m., with a Rosary recited at 1:30 p.m., and a funeral service at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 19, 2023, at Broussard’s, 134 West Buccaneer Drive, Winnie. Her interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Winnie.

My thoughts and prayers going out to her family and friends… She was such a wonderful and caring lady. She will be missed by so many. I remember when she worked at the bank and I went to get some money out of my account and she looked at me and was like what you need this much money for?? After she said that she looked at me and started laughing. She would wave at me every time she seen me outside of the house when she passed by… She will be greatly missed!!!!
Donna was part of St. Mary’s choir for a time. She was a sweet lady. Please know that you are all in our thoughts and prayers.
