Doris Jean Canizaro
Doris Jean Canizaro, 72, of Beaumont, died Thursday, June 22, 2023, at Christus Southeast Texas St. Elizabeth, Beaumont. She was born July 24, 1950, in Silsbee, to Lawanda Jean Martin Erwin and Alvin Erwin, Sr.
Doris was a graduate of Kountze High School and was retired from Silsbee Doctor’s hospital, where she worked as a lab technician for twenty-seven years. She was a devoted member of Calvary Baptist Church of Silsbee and enjoyed playing scrabble and spending quality time with her nieces and nephews. Doris loved watching cooking shows and trying new recipes.
She is survived by her husband, Joseph Canizaro; siblings, Dorothy Beason of Yoakum; Linda Brown; Barbara Bohler and her husband, David; Rebecca Spivey and her husband, Dale; and Judy Erwin, all of Kountze and sister-in-law, Debbie Erwin, of Kountze.
Doris is preceded in death by her parents and brother, Alvin Erwin, Jr.
Mrs. Canizaro’s graveside service will be at 10:00 a.m., Monday, June 26, 2023, at Old Hardin Cemetery, Old Cemetery Road, Kountze, under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont.

My heart breaks for all of you
She was still so young. Loved the time I got to spend with her, her mom and sister Dorothy and husband, all the children at Calvary baptist church in Silsbee!

So very sorry and sad for your loss. We always had so much fun when we were all together. I miss those times and all your family. After our first ever visit we were never the same. It was like we had known y’all forever. I know she will be greatly missed. I loved her and I love all your family. God be with you through the days ahead. You are all in my prayers????????❤️????????❤️
