I met Doyle Lee in in 1958 and we became friends throughout our school years. Later I hired out behind him on the Santa Fe Railroad. We worked around each other for about 40 years. Great guy! He will certainly be missed.

Worked with Doyle back in the day between 1977 and 1984 on the old Santa Fe out of Silsbee. He was a great guy and one awesome locomotive engineer. I learned so much from guys like him that helped me in my railroad career with the Sabine River and Northern later on in my life. He will be missed. Thoughts and prayers for the family and my deepest, most sincere condolences. Richard Glenn
