Charles “Eddie” Wood
Charles “Eddie” Wood, 68, of Port Neches, died Thursday, April 20, 2023. He was born August 26, 1954, in Port Arthur, to Violet Marie Hebert Wood and Billy Ruel Wood.
Eddie was a hard worker. He was an active member of the electricians Local 479 for over forty years. He loved visiting with friends, building things, and fishing.
Survivors include his wife of fifty years, Mary Wood; son, John Wood and fiancé, Jerijane Powell; brother, Mike Wood and wife, Lisa; nephews, Brent Wood and wife, Sophia and Adam Tomplait; niece, Stacy Baker; and a host of extended family members.
He is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Susan Tomplait.
A gathering of Mr. Wood’s family and friends will begin at 4:00 p.m., until 7:00 p.m., Monday, April 24, 2023, with his funeral service at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, April 25, 2023, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. His interment will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park, Port Neches.
