Edward H. Jowers, Jr.

Edward H. Jowers, Jr., 73, of Nome, died Saturday, February 3, 2024, at Harbor Hospice, Beaumont. He was born on July 18, 1950, to Madeline Dubroc Olivier and Edward H. Jowers, Sr., in Pineville, Louisiana. Edward was a member of First Baptist Church of Nome.

Survivors include his sister, Elizabeth Stanley and her fiancé, Darryl, of Port Neches; children, Jack Jowers and his wife, Kathryn, of New Iberia, Louisiana and Karris Brilee; grandchildren, Anastasia Josephine Jowers and Alexandra Elizabeth Jowers.

He is preceded in death by his parents; father, Robert Staines; stepfather, Huey Olivier; and brother-in-law, Perry Stanley.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to College Street Nursing Center and Harbor Hospice for their care and compassion.

A memorial service for Mr. Jowers will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, February 17, 2024, at Hixson Brothers Funeral Home, 701 Jackson Street, Alexandria, Louisiana.

His cremation arrangements were handled through Broussard’s Crematorium under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont.
