Eleanor “Kay” Distefano

August 9, 1952 - March 5, 2024

Eleanor “Kay” Distefano, 71, died on, Tuesday , March 5, 2024. She was born on August 9, 1952, in Beaumont, to Loary Norma Richard Asta and Sam Salvatory Asta.

Survivors include her daughter, Erica Fichter and her husband, Kelly, of Santa Barbara, California; and siblings, Johnny Asta and Sam Asta, Jr., both of Beaumont; Diania Santana and her husband, Mark, of Silsbee; and Mary Conner and her husband, Blue, of Vidor.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Loary and Sam Asta; husband, Fred Distefano; son, Joel Distefano; and brother, Rodney Asta.

A gathering of Mrs. Distefano’s family and friends will be 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., with a Rosary recited at 6:30 p.m., Thursday, March 14, 2024, at Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee. A Memorial Mass will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, March 15, 2024, at St. Mark Catholic Church, 905 North 9th Street, Silsbee. Her cremation arrangements will be handled through Broussard’s Crematorium.
