    Wendy Smith says:

Bob and I would like to express our heartfelt condolences to all of Emily’s family and dear friends. Thank you for always being there for her. We are sending our love and prayers especially to Tom Droddy, Emily’s wonderful husband, and Emily’s sons, David and Mike Howland, and their families. Emily was a very special cousin, who always thought of her family first. I will always treasure our family reunions with my Smith cousins in Sidney Center, picnics at Gilbert Lake State Park, and Sunday gatherings at Granny (Smith) Pease’s house. In later years, I was very fortunate to spend time with Emily while she visited family in the Panama City Beach area. I will miss you, dear cousin. I still remember the time when I was in grade school, I was called to the principal’s office in Morris, NY. Thinking I was in big trouble, I worried all the way to the office, only to be greeted by my beautiful cousin, Emily, who had made a special trip to my school to see my two sisters and me during a visit with her family in Sidney Center. I will never forget that visit and the fact that she cared enough to seek us out for even a brief time together.

    Mr. and Mrs. Howland- Bret,
I just read of your loss. ” I don’t know what grief will look like tomorrow. But you will face it and feel it, as the memory washes over you one day at at time one wave at a time.
For such a love grief is the price of admission, the cost of the human condition. So you will pay it over and over again. Until you see her again. The love was worth it. “

    Jacque Clegg says:

Our love of handbags, jewelry, clothing and great restaurants made our husband’s want to hide the wallets when it was “nail day” that meant time to shop day. It won’t be the same without you. I love you,

    Dorothy Radomski says:

I will miss you always, the times back in the ‘50s when you & I would line up in the living room on Sunday morning before church and Ronnie would tell us who was prettier, (you always won,) the good times we had when you would come to NY state for a visit after moving west in the ‘60s, discussions and bragging over our children and then our grandchildren, the clothes you gave me because yours were always nicer than mine, the texts and emails, I’ll miss it all. Please rest in peace, I love you.

    Angel Williams says:

Ms. Emily adopted my favorite kitty from the humane society years ago when I worked there and was kind enough to let me visit their wonderful home any time. I couldn’t believe how full of life and sunshine she was. A true animal lover and an Angel on earth. I visited her the first time in 2015 and it was like she knew me my whole life. She even bought gifts for me when I welcomed my son into the world in 2020. Such a warm and welcoming person. Thank you for being a wonderful friend Ms. Emily. You will certainly be missed!

I recall times when Emily and Tom came to Norwich to visit Ron and my aunt Alberta. She was a very pleasant person and seemed full of life
