Eric Bailey, Jr.
Eric Marvin Bailey, Jr., 77, of Nederland, died August 7, 2022, at Oak Grove Nursing Home, Groves. He was born December 6, 1944, in Beaumont, to Eron Willebee Burran Bailey and Eric Marvin Bailey, Sr. Eric was a United States Army veteran having served during the Vietnam War as a helicopter pilot.
Survivors include his nephew, Marcus Owen Phares; nieces, Debora Lynn Hansford, Cynthia Kay Phares, and Susan Elaine Abbey; great nieces, Kaycee Montana Botkin and Karlee Michelle Cooper; great nephews, Dakota Marcus Phares and Dalton Marcus Phares; great great nephews, Chandler Eli Cooper, Nolan Wayne Botkin, and Lucas Allen Botkin; and great great nieces, Presli Grace Cooper, Ella Michelle Cooper, and Suki Marie Phares.
He is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Jean Francis Bailey Phares.
A gathering of Mr. Bailey’s family and friends will be 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m., Thursday, August 11, 2022, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. A graveside service will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 3900 Twin City Highway, Groves, with military honors.
