Ethel Butler
Ethel Estelle Butler, 89, of Lumberton, died Wednesday, January 24, 2018. She was born on February 5, 1928, in Wharton, to Mr. and Mrs. Robert Muse and adopted on June 19, 1928, to Mary Firth Kite and Leroy Kite.
Survivors include her children, Myra Louise Butler Harrell of Lumberton; Jimmy Butler and his wife, Linda, of Silsbee; and Henri Etta Bodle and her husband, Bobby, of Lumberton; grandchildren, Clinton Wayne Butler, Kara Lewerenz, Jill Powell, Tonya Hebert, Ben Bodle, Caleb Butler, Sheah Bodle, and Whitney Bodle; and sixteen great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband of thirty-nine years, I.M. Butler, Jr.; son, Samuel Leroy Butler; and sister, Lorine Boudro.
A gathering of Mrs. Butler’s family and friends will begin at 11:00 a.m., with her service at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, January 27, 2018, at Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee. Her interment will follow at Resthaven Cemetery, Silsbee.

Estelle was a constant in my life growing up. She was the very first to visit and bring a dish when my baby boy died in '56. When she places her crown at Jesus' feet, there will be so many jewels on it! Her life was one long testimony to God's goodness and faithfulness. The family will certainly miss her presence here on earth, but we know she's even now in her Heavenly Home, hearing, seeing and feeling things that we can't even begin to imagine. God bless you all with the comfort that only Jesus can give during this time. I love you all so very much..

Myra, we are so sorry to hear of your mom passing. I know what you are going thru. I moved my mom here from Houston in March 2017 and she passed away on Sept 30, 2017. Our prayers of comfort are with you and your family.
