Floyd William Collins, Sr.

September 15, 1946 - December 24, 2020

Floyd William Collins, Sr., 74, of Village Mills, died Thursday, December 24, 2020, at Christus Dubuis Hospital of Beaumont. He was born on September 15, 1946, in Woodville, to Jessie Lee Wilson and Hollice William Collins. Floyd retired as a heavy equipment operator.

Survivors include his loving wife of forty-five years, Laura Collins; son, Floyd William “Will” Collins, Jr. and his wife, Deborah, of Orange; daughter, Amy Collins of Beaumont; grandchildren, Bridget, Brent and Finnegan; great-granddaughter, Carmen; sisters, Jerry Bayless and her husband, Leon, of Warren; Linda Taylor and her husband, William, of Mont Belvieu; Ennis Faye Elliott of Silsbee; Brenda Flowers and her husband, Kenneth, of Warren; and Jeannie Hardy and her husband, Karl, of Kountze; brothers, John Collins and Roger Collins, both of Village Mills; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Floyd is preceded in death by his parents; twin brother, Loyd Collins; brother, Wayne Collins; and sister, Charlene Carrell.

A gathering of Mr. Collins’ family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Friday, January 1, 2021, at Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee. His graveside service will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 2, 2021, at Holland Cemetery, 6106 Holland Cemetery Road, Kountze.
