Frances “Aileen” Portier

Frances “Aileen” Portier, 98, of Beaumont, died Wednesday, March 21, 2018. She was born December 31, 1919, in Hondo, to Rosa Payne Callaham and John Harold Callaham. She was retired from the Diocese of Beaumont, as a church secretary.

Survivors include daughters, Linda Bryant; Peggy Smith and her husband, Ronnie; son, A.J. “J” Portier; grandchildren, Shelly Cosby and her husband, Dave; Donna Hugon; Denea Dailey and her husband, Tyson; Alysia Davis and her husband, Jason; Ron Smith and his wife, Kelly; and Jerry Smith; great-grandchildren, Mathew Milburn and his wife, Jessica; Chelsey Robinson and her husband, Devin; Colin Cosby; Tyler Cecil; Kelsey Cecil; Allie Hugon; Piper Dailey; Lucy Dailey; Fiona Dailey; Trent Grisson; Delaney Davis; Kane Davis; Hayden Smith; Haeley Batman and her husband Joel; Arden Smith; five great-great-grandchildren; many other relatives and family friends.

Preceded in death by parents; her husband of sixty-four years, Albert Jerry “A.J.” Portier; son, Jerry Portier; daughter, Patricia Portier; sisters, Patricia Smith and Fay Eck; and granddaughter, Deborah Smith.

A gathering of Mrs. Portier’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., with a Rosary recited, at 6:00 p.m., Friday, March 23, 2018, at Broussard’s Chapel, 2000 McFaddin. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 24, 2018, at St. Anne’s Catholic Church, 2715 Calder, Beaumont, with interment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Beaumont.
