Gellous M. “Mike” White

Mike White, 76, of Nederland, passed away on Tuesday, May 2, 2017, after a brief battle with liver cancer. He was born on November 30, 1940, in Port Arthur, Texas, to Ruby Ann Aucoin White and Gellous Milton White, Sr.

Mike enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting, fishing, and walking through the woods. He loved spending time with family and friends.  He was also an active member of LaBelle Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Vera White, of Nederland; daughter, Sherré White, of Sour Lake; son, Michael White and his wife, Kari, of The Woodlands; grandson, Evan Luke, of Sour Lake; sister, Linda Woodward and her husband, Earl, and brother, Larry White and his wife, Lois, all of Dripping Springs.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Benny Joe White.

A gathering of Mr. White’s family and friends will begin at 1:00 p.m., with his funeral service at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, May 6, 2017, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. His interment will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park, Port Neches.
