George Russell Lemley
George Russell Lemley passed away on November 23, 2023. Born October 22, 1953, in Morgantown, West Virginia, he was the son of Doris Annette Lemley-Duncan and the late Ray Ronald Lemley.
George was a floor mechanic by trade in Maryland. He later moved to Texas and retired in the Crystal Beach area. Everyone who met him knew that the beach was his favorite place. Unfortunately, dementia took him away from the beach in 2018 but he never forgot his time there. His family is thankful for the care he received at several facilities including Kountze and Brookdale at Dowlen Oaks.
He is survived by his mother; brother, Ronnie; sisters, Eilean and Patty; brothers-in-law, Terry and Jay; nephews, Alan, Johnny, Adam (Bobbie Jo), Danny (Mandie), Kenny (Kat), and Cody (and family); great nieces and nephews, Jakob (Ashley), Gracie (Brandon), Toby, Owen, Sophie, Layla, James and Holden; great-great-nieces and nephews, JayJay, Jayce and Hadley; and his dear friend, Whitney Probst and her late mother, Kelly Scroggins.
A private remembrance will be held by the family.

So very sorry to hear of George passing. We talked once a month for the last 10 years. I have been unable to reach him by phone for 2 months. Rest in peace my friend. I will miss our phone calls.
