Grady Dorrough
Grady Lee Dorrough, 85, of Lumberton, died Saturday, October 6, 2018, at Summer Place Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Beaumont. He was born on January 24, 1933, in Jacksonville, Texas, to Alice Hampton and Quincy G. Dorrough. He was a Master SGT, Retired, from the United States Army; and later retired as a Logistics Engineer from NASA.
He is survived by his wife, MaryE Dorrough, of Lumberton; daughter, Kathleen Rahe, of Jacksonville, Illinois; sons, Alan S. Dorrough of Chesapeake Bay, Virginia and Donald L. Dorrough of Springfield, Illinois; brother, Richard E. Dorrough of Lafayette, Louisiana; grandchildren, Grady J. Rahe, Clint M. Rahe, Cheryl L. Rahe, Lee Ann Cole, David A. Dorrough, Joy Dorrough, and Alissa Dorrough; and five great-grandchildren.
Grady is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Charles J. Dorrough; and sister, Alice P. Dorrough Vanden.
A gathering of Mr. Dorrough’s family and friends will be from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 9, 2018, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. His funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 10, 2018, at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church, 4090 Delaware, Beaumont, with a private family entombment.
Memorial contributions may be made to Some Other Place, P.O. Box 0843, Beaumont, Texas 77704; Southeast Texas Food Bank, 3845 South M L King Jr Parkway, Beaumont, Texas 77705; or to The Humane Society of Southeast Texas, P.O. Box 1629, Beaumont, Texas 77704.
