Gwendolyn Widow, 69, of Missouri City, died Sunday, February 5, 2023. She was born August 30, 1953, in Port Arthur.
Survivors include her siblings, Louvenia Evans Penley and husband, James, of Port Arthur, Texas; Helen C. Pillette of Bossier City, Louisiana; Patricia Cryer of Port Arthur, Texas; Prince Harris of Houston, Texas; Daniel J. Brocks and wife, Sophie, of Valdez, Georgia; Abe H. Brocks and wife, Emily, of Beaumont, Texas; Charletta D. Davis of Port Arthur, Texas; and Agnes P. Sanders and husband, James Kevin, of Port Arthur, Texas.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Susie Widow Brocks and John Henry Brocks, Sr.; sister, Carolyn Calcote; and brothers, John Henry Bocks, Jr. and Glen Widow.
A gathering of Miss Widow’s family and friends will begin at 8:30 a.m., with her funeral service at 9:30 a.m., Saturday, February 25, 2023, Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. Her interment will be held at a later date at Houston National Cemetery.
