Harriel Whitehead

Harriel Eugene Whitehead, 84, of Beaumont, died Thursday, October 6, 2022, at Harbor Hospice of Beaumont. He was born July 11, 1938, in Bonifay, Florida, to Mary Alice Smith Whitehead and Floyd Alton Whitehead.

Survivors include his children, Sharlene Williams and Deanna Whitehead; grandchildren, Lila, Blake, and Zack Williams; great-grandchildren, Hayleigh and David Ratcliff, Madison and Zelena Williams, and Alexandria and Alexis Messer; sister, Reverend Joe Pitts; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents; wife of forty-eight years, Lovie Whitehead; son, Mark Whitehead; brothers, Robert Earl Whitehead and Edwin Whitehead; and sister, Edith Moore.

A gathering of Mr. Whitehead’s family and friends will begin at 10:00 a.m., with his funeral service at 12:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 11, 2022, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12^th Street, Nederland. His interment will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park, Port Neches.
